O'Keeffe At Ghost Ranch
After the popular series of presentation on Impressionism in 2025, Hugh Rudock is back with a presentation on Georgia O'Keeffe.
Georgia O’Keeffe, arguably our nations finest painter, became a legend in the 1920s and then withdrew from her prominent position in the ebullient art world of “Jazz Age” New York to live a mostly isolated existence in the arid landscape of Ghost Ranch, New Mexico. At Ghost Ranch she was able to paint and live by her own code: independent, disciplined, uncompromising. By the time she died in 1986 at age 98 O’Keeffe was celebrated not only for her dramatic and innovative artwork but also for her independent spirit and her distinctive style in all aspects of life. Please join us as we view and discuss artworks by Ms. O’Keeffe and learn about the life of this unique American icon.
